NSC Olimpiyskiy is a modern arena, a new symbol of Euro-2012. The renovated stadium combines 80 years Ukrainian sports history with European experience and ultramodern technologies. Olimpiyskiy stadium will is a universal cross functional sports arena for holding both football matches and field-and-track competitions of international level. Among all sports arenas that are being prepared for Euro-2012 Olimpiyskiy is the largest, the total capacity is 70 050 spectators’ places (68 055 places for EURO 2012) Infrastructure of the stadium meets all the UEFA’s “Elit” class requirements – with a new security system, increasing of the quantity of accesses to the stadium and escape routes, video control system with video cameras and monitors, computer-data technologies. NSC Olimpiyskiy is considered the main stadium of future Europe championship. It is the stadium on which final competition and closing ceremony will be held.
