Indian Plastics Federation was formed in 1958 with the objective of promoting the plastic industry in Eastern India, particularly in West Bengal. The members include Petrochemical giants like Reliance Industries Ltd., Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd., Gas Authority of India Ltd., Indian Oil Limited etc. The Federation is represented by members from various sectors of the plastic industry ranging from petrochemical giants to plastic processors, dealers, brokers, importers and recyclers. The Federation acts as a bridge between the Government and the Plastics Industry with regard to various policies framed by the Government from time to time for the development of the industry.
