Founded in 1999, Carpatair is one of the most important airlines in Romania, being 100% privately owned (with the majority of shareholders being Swiss) and has its headquarters in Timisoara. Ever since, our airline operated a large number of regular flights in over 7 countries throughout Eastern and Western Europe, dedicating also important resources for creating a division of charter and ACMI & lease for several projects conducted all over Europe, the Middle East and Africa. We are proud to have innovated, from the very beginning, in 2000, the eastern aviation market by having applied the concept of hub & spoke for regular flights, establishing the hub in Timisoara, where the headquarter of the company is. From 2014, we became a full-service charter airline with operational bases in Italy and France, from where Ad-Hoc charters, chains of charters and ACMI & lease projects are organized through leading aviation partners. Our mission is to become a leading tailor made charter airline, servicing sports teams, orchestras, corporations, tour operators, organizations and governments, by leasing out the aircraft and offering related services. The airline is IATA member since 2006 and has recently successfully received its 8th IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) registration.
