After a brief foray into the world of retail and education (Patrice Plante's mixology school) in the fall of 2015, it was officially in January 2016 that mixologist Patrice Plante surrounded himself with a wonderful team led by Andrée-Anne Hamel and founded Monsieur Cocktail, a company dedicated to revolutionizing liquid cuisine and home mixology. This revolution began in June 2016, after numerous tests and experiments, with our line of artisanal syrups made with 100% natural ingredients, free from flavorings, concentrates, or preservatives. Their goal? To simplify cocktails even more, with or without alcohol, by combining simple syrup and fresh citrus juice into a single concentrated product: you just need to add 2 parts alcohol to 1 part syrup to get a stunning and quick result. Following in August 2016, a bilingual web platform was launched, offering hundreds of simple recipe ideas to make with your new syrup, as well as formats for every situation (30 ml, 125 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml, and 4L). It was in May 2017 that we moved into our first offices at 2385 Watt Avenue, with the firm intention of offering the most professional and educational bar service and mixology workshops in the industry. For our team, a cocktail is a pleasure to be enjoyed in moderation, and our staff is not there to offer you a shot, but rather a story and surprising flavors.
