Shule Direct is a Tanzanian NGO that leverages existing technologies to improve access to local, relevant, digital study tools for learners across Tanzania. We work with the best teachers in the country to create digitized notes, tutorials, quizzes and multimedia content for 13 Secondary school subjects following the Tanzanian National Curriculum and Syllabus; and develop learning mobile games to improve Reading, Writing and Numeracy Skills for Primary School pupils. Shule Direct’s Cloud based repository stores all the resources, with an advanced data management system and Application Programming Interface (API), which allow Mobile Applications; the Shule Direct web portal (online and offline); and SMS Services to pull the right content for students and teachers and deliver it to them through whatever technology they can access. Over 3,700,000 students in Tanzania have accessed qualified learning content on Shule Direct’s digital learning platforms via www.shuledirect.co.tz; Elimika Learning Management System; Shule Direct Mobile Application available on Android and iOS; or the MAKINI SMS platform, enabling them to learn anytime, anywhere.
