EPSO-G is a group of energy transmission and exchange companies that contributes to the goals set in Lithuania’s National Energy Independence strategy with an aim to provide long-term benefits to its shareholders, the competitiveness of the country‘s economy and public welfare.
The group consists of a holding company EPSO-G, the transmission system operators managing the infrastructure of electricity and natural gas transmission Litgrid and Amber Grid, infrastructure maintenance services‘ company Tetas, market operators managing natural gas, biofuels, and wood trade platforms Baltpool and GET Baltic and Energy Cells, created to install energy storage facilities with a total total capacity of at least 200 megawatts.
EPSO-G provides uninterrupted electricity and gas transmission services via high voltage grids and high-pressure pipelines and aims at efficient and mutually beneficial integration of the country’s energy transmission infrastructure with Europe. The trade platforms that are part of EPSO-G group are designed to foster fair competition in the market of energy resources and roundwood.
