Every single one of the 10,000 students at Goldsmiths, University of London is a member.
We're active.
Through us, Goldsmiths students organise campaigns, run dozens of clubs and societies, and learn how to speak up for themselves on issues academic, social, political, environmental and economic.
We're professional.
We’re a registered charity, with an annual turnover of £2m and around 30 full-time staff. As well as supporting student-led activity, we offer professional & impartial support to students in crisis through our Advice Service, we help students improve the quality of their education through our Departmental Representatives, and we even run a nursery on campus.
We're independent.
We are completely independent of Goldsmiths, University of London; similar name, but different objectives, different staff, different charity number, different leadership, different Board of Trustees.
We're ethical entrepreneurs.
We’re also proud to run ethical, safe and friendly commercial spaces - our bar, cafe, shop and bookable event spaces - providing our members with services they need, while also funding our campaigning and representation work.
We are Goldsmiths students.
We are student-led, with hundreds of volunteers, dozens of part-time elected officers, and four Sabbatical Officers - students who have been elected by their peers to take a year out of their studies to lead Goldsmiths SU from the front.
