Our 38 stations reach a weekly audience of more than 400,000 through broadcast, digital, podcast, social media and other platforms.
Founded in 1917, WPR is deeply rooted in the Wisconsin Idea that the benefits of the University should reach everyone in the state. Our reporters, on-air producers, editors, hosts, and audio engineers strive for the highest standards. Wisconsin Public Radio is part of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a service of the the Educational Communications Board and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting with listener support through the Wisconsin Public Radio Association.
