Adept has been formed to empower students to pursue practical projects of their own design. In addition, Adept aims to facilitate connection between the problem solving capabilities of STEM students and real projects backed by business and local industry. Currently, Adept has branches in Adelaide and Canberra. Adept aims to provide a solid foundation for teams of STEM students to engage with industry backed projects and further their practical design and engineering skills. The team intends to foster development of practically minded, innovative graduates equipped with the skills required by a transforming global market. This vision is underpinned by a desire to help build a skilled workforce contributing to a revitalisation of Australia’s design, technology and manufacturing sector. Adept aims to expand the application of STEM skills to unconventional fields while creating links with local employers to retain and leverage our states home-grown talent.
