Bavaria Media GmbH, a subsidiary of the Bavaria Film Group, was established in 1979 as Bavaria Sonor GmbH. The company’s headquarter is located on the Bavaria Film studio lot in Geiselgasteig near Munich. In February 2013, several divisions, including music publishing (Bavaria Sonor Musikverlag), feature film and TV sales (Bavaria Media International) as well as the licensing division (Bavaria Sonor Licensing), representing the entire rights catalogue of the Bavaria Film Group were consolidated within the Bavaria Media GmbH. Bavaria Media GmbH also represents a considerable number of rights of other partners, entities and rights holders in all business sectors.
