The Women's Business Network (WBN) of the National Capital Region is an association that promotes the business success of women. The network provides programming for women to come together, share ideas and experiences, develop new skills, and celebrate each other's accomplishments. Businesses are promoted, members learn from one another, and relationships grow.
With over 200 members, the WBN has been supporting women in the Ottawa business community for over 35 years. The network is made up of women who are business owners, professionals, or corporate employees. It’s a dynamic group encompassing a diverse range of expertise and businesses. The WBN engages the community through several efforts, including:
The prestigious Businesswoman of the Year Awards (BYAs)

Regular monthly events to network, hear dynamic speakers, discuss business topics, including lessons learned and innovative tips for success. These include the Mix & Mingle Breakfast and Wine Downs.
General Membership Awards are presented annually to five members for their outstanding contributions to the network.
The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented in recognition of significant and ongoing contributions to the WBN, as well as to the Ottawa business community.
