The New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling is a post-graduate training college that provides courses in psychotherapy, counselling, coaching, and related topics. Two of these training programmes lead to doctoral degrees awarded by Middlesex University, and five lead to masters degrees, validated by Middlesex University. The New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling aims for excellence in education and training in psychotherapy, counselling psychology and coaching. It is built around a philosophical and existential approach to the professions of psychotherapy, counselling, coaching and counselling psychology. NSPC has a commitment to investigate human and life concerns in the broadest and most in depth manner possible. This means that NSPC seeks to provide a trans-theoretical and non-sectarian approach to psychotherapy and counselling psychology training and seeks to give students access to the most up to date information in the field, allowing them to base their practical interventions on a solid knowledge base. NSPC aims to achieve high standards of teaching and research in all of its staff members and to work closely with its academic partner, Middlesex University to continue improving these.
