NHS Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care Board (ICB) has been established as the statutory NHS organisation responsible for NHS function and budgets. We were legally established on 1 July 2022, after abolishment of Clinical Commissioning Groups, following the Health and Care Act 2022 receiving Royal Assent. An ICB is a statutory NHS organisation responsible for developing a plan for meeting the health needs of the Birmingham and Solihull population, managing the NHS budget and arranging for the provision of health services in the Integrated Care System (ICS) area.
