The Precious Blood Ministry of Reconciliation (PBMR) is a restorative justice hub, located on the southside of Chicago. We restore human dignity through hospitality, hope, and healing.
We work as agents of reconciliation to:
-Build relationships among youth and families impacted by violence and/or conflict
-Create safe spaces where people can experience radical hospitality, hope and healing
-Promote a restorative justice approach to conflict and build a sense of community
We serve as a restorative justice hub serving the southside of Chicago. Since 2002 we provide programs to support young people (13-24), mothers who have lost children to violence, adults who have been incarcerated, are currently incarcerated, or are at risk of street involvement. PBMR also provides services for those who are healing, seeking to learn about restorative justice, and stability in their lives. We provide career preparation and placement services, educational support, and individual case management/mentoring services.
Our campus includes an Urban Farm, temporary transitional housing for those at risk of homelessness, and those coming home from prison. We provide after-school arts programs for youth and regular community healing circles.
