Since our inception in 1914, Compass Family Services has responded to the needs of the community and is one of the longest operating social services agencies in California. Today, Compass helps homeless families and families at imminent risk for homelessness to achieve housing stability, family well-being, and self-sufficiency. Our twelve programs provide services to more than 6,500 parents and children each year.
Of our 140+ staff members, 79% are people of color and 81% are women.
Our twelve interconnected programs, Central City Access Point, Compass SF HOME, Compass Family Shelter, Compass Clara House, The Margot, Compass Behavioral Health Services, Compass Children's Center, Compass Childcare Support Services, Compass Family Resource Center, C-Rent, C-Work, and Compass Urgent Accommodation Vouchers Program, offer families a broad spectrum of services including:
