Cedar Banks, otherwise known as Michigan State University American Advertising Federation (MSUAAF), is a club, a class and an agency all wrapped up in one big take-home box. Through conducting research, brainstorming ideas, creating ad executions, developing media plans and presenting campaigns at the National Student Advertising Competition, the team simulates every function a major advertising firm would.
Each year, a corporate sponsor provides us with a case study outlining the history of the company and its current advertising situation, tasking us to research the product and competitors, identify problems and develop a fully integrated marketing campaign for the competition. It’s up to us to have our fun and do the wowing. And be assured, we do have our fun.
