The state-owned Azer Turk Bank Open Joint-Stock Company was founded on 25.05.1995, and on the ground of license № 234 of the Central Bank of the Azerbaijani Republic dated 29.06.1995 the Bank started its activities on 11.07.1995. Currently, State Committee on Property Issues of Azerbaijan Republic (75.00%), the Ziraat Bank of the Republic of Turkey (12.37%), AzRe Reinsurance OJSC (6.55%), "Qala Life" İnsurance Company OJSC (5.00%) and the Ziraat Bank İnternational AG (1.08%) are shareholders of the bank with share capital of 50.000,000.00 AZN.
