The Swedish Olympic Committee (SOC, Swedish: Sveriges Olympiska Kommitté (SOK)) is the Swedish National Olympic Committee (NOC). The SOC mission is to prepare and manage Sweden's participation in the Olympic Games, and to develop competitive Swedish Olympic Teams.
With this mission in mind, SOC works to:
- Give Olympic athletes an opportunity to grow and advance in their chosen sport, regardless of background and without discrimination of any sort
- Inspire people to grow in sports
- Promote the Olympic message of friendship, respect and fair play
- Protect Swedish interests in an international sports context
Daily SOC operations include:
- Planning and organizing Sweden's participation in the Olympic Games
- Preparing athletes and coaches for the Olympic Games
- Hosting athletic try-outs
- Developing elite athletes through the "Top & Talent" program
