De Hoogstraat Rehabilitation is the medically specialized rehabilitation centre for children and adults. De Hoogstraat is renowned nationwide for successful integration of patientcare, innovative projects and knowledge development through scientific research. This knowledge and experience is tested, shared and used to support both children and adults with customized information, treatment, extensive training and clever (technical) adjustments. The goal is to help our patients cope independently as much as possible. Partner, parents, children and/or friends are actively involved and play a central part.
Besides treatments for rehabilitation we offer:
- Research and innovation; the Knowledge Centre Rehabilitation Utrecht is the research and innovation centre of the University Medical Centre Utrecht and Rehabilitation Centre De Hoogstraat. The Knowledge Centre contributes to the improvement of treatment through scientific research and innovation and implementation projects.
- Rehabilitation techniques; adjustments and rehabilitation apparatus, which improves the ability to cope independently of the patient. For the development of adjustments and apparatus to fit the patient, the rehabilitation technicians work closely together with the rehabilitation physicians and other specialists concerned with the patient.
- Orthopaedics technology; at de Hoogstraat Orthopaedics technology we stand for adjustments to make live of adults and children as optimal as possible. We make leg and arm prostheses and orthosis to fit our patients and help them to get back “on the road”.
- Sports; they train and advise rehabilitation patients, recreational exercisers, sportsman and athletes with a physical handicap or long-term disease.
- Education; De Hoogstraat sees education as an essential instrument to improve quality. There are internships as well as educational tracks for rehabilitation doctors and GZ-psychologists.
