UvA minds You is an Academic Training Centre founded on 1 January 2014 in cooperation with the UvA Holding by Prof. Susan Bögels, psychotherapist/clinical psychologist, director of UvA minds You, much solicited keynote speaker and leader in the field of mindfulness, and professor at the University of Amsterdam (UvA), and drs. Sacha Lucassen, mental health psychologist, cognitive behavioral therapist, and team leader of UvA minds. UvA minds You is a pioneer in the area of mindfulness and specializes in providing evidence-based mindfulness trainings for various target groups, like companies, parents, students, adults and children. Mindfulness is the awareness that results from paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, and without judgment. Amongst other things mindfulness reduces stress, enhances concentration and motivation, improves communication and relationships, ensures that we purposefully work, and gives us a sense of well-being, vitality, happiness, and life satisfaction. We aim for excellence in every aspect of our company. Therefore UvA minds You staff is scientist, therapist and mindfulness trainer at the same time. Through scientific research, we continuously keep developing and innovating our services. We are the academic institute that generates knowledge about mindfulness worldwide, stimulating knowledge transfer by teaching professionals and making mindfulness accessible for everyone.
