The Strategy Group in the Prime Minister’s Office was set up in July 2015 to strengthen strategic alignment across Government. It expanded in August 2016 to include the National Population and Talent Division (NPTD) and National Climate Change Secretariat (NCCS). The Strategy Group in the Prime Minister's Office drives whole-of-government strategic planning by identifying key priorities and emerging issues over the medium to long-term. It partners public agencies to strengthen whole-of-government effort on key cross-cutting issues, such as population and climate change.
