Mateen is a non-profit organization based in Jordan that has been established in October 2016. It specializes in helping marginalized children. Guided by both the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Mateen works on:
1. Supporting through sustainable interventions efforts to reduce educational inequities by enabling the most marginalized school children to access quality education.
2. Providing psychosocial interventions; to provide a stable, loving and safe environment for the children.
3. Supporting efforts to reduce the economic vulnerability of families to enable them to provide the basic needs of children. Developing appropriate strategies and programs to prevent and respond to child abuse, exploitation, violence and family disintegration.
4. Communicating and advocating for children’s basic legal rights which include the right to civil registration to improve their access to public services and economic opportunities. Supporting efforts to raise awareness on the rights of these marginalized children.
