Zetland is a Danish-language, digital media that offers an online space for reflection, afterthought, and meaningful public conversation by help of in-depth journalism. In a media realm otherwise known for it’s ultra-fast, noisy and confusing news cycle, Zetland is going the other way and insist on journalism’s fundamental mission: To tell stories that explain context, show perspective and engage hearts as well as minds.
Since Zetland’s launch in 2012 we’ve published e-singles once a month that covers politics, culture, sports, money, pop, finance and everything in between. We’ve also launched the onstage magazine Zetland Live that has brought Zetland to the forefront of the international movement of performed journalism and attracted huge crowds of enthusiastic Copenhageners.
For the time being the team behind Zetland is working 24/7 in an effort to re-launch Zetland in 2016 with – among other things – daily publications and tools for Zetland’s members to contribute easily to the editorial process and choices.
Zetland was founded by Jakob Moll (CEO), Silke Bock, Hakon Mosbech and Lea Korsgaard (editor-in-chief), who quit their daytime job from legacy media to participate in the much needed reinvention of not only Danish quality journalism, but also the business model behind it. Zetland is counted among the most innovative media start-ups in Denmark and has been awarded with several prizes
