Edgewood Center for Children and Families is a nonprofit provider of behavioral health, family support, and educational services that touch the lives of thousands of children, youth, and families in San Francisco and San Mateo counties each year. Founded in 1851 in San Francisco, Edgewood is the oldest children’s charity in the Western U.S. and has become recognized nationally as a multifaceted agency that transforms lives and restores hope for children and families.
We believe a holistic approach to behavioral health can transform the lives of children, youth and their families. Taking a family-centered and integrated approach, our work focuses on issues such as mental health, family relationships and life skills. What guides us is our belief in every child we serve and our values of engaging families, developing community, generating hope and embracing diversity. We are proud to have a positive impact on 7,000 children and families every year, and in our efforts to continuously improve outcomes more broadly through our research and training programs.
