The City of Weslaco is the HQ for the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. Weslaco is located between the two MSAs of McAllen-Edinburg-Mission and Brownsville-Harlingen-San Benito and only 40 minutes from South Padre Island. The pedestrian shopping mecca of Nuevo Progreso, Mexico is located just to the south, and Monterrey (Mexico's industrial center) is but two hours away by car.
