1980
The company was founded in 1980 as Dynatec Mining Limited. In its second year in business, it started building the Macassa Mine shaft, for which, it still holds the record for the deepest single-lift timbered shaft in the world.
1992
DMC developed the Long Round Concept for shaft sinking, an innovation that improved productivity by 20%.
2013
The company initiated and developed leading edge, shaft sinking technology using Shaft Boring Roadheaders (SBRs) designed and built in Germany for a twin shaft project in Canada.
2015
DMC's Jansen team performed the first ever installation of shaft tubing using a robotic arm called the Blairmore Ring Erector (BRE).
2019
First full completion of 2 x 1000 metre BHP Billiton’s Jansen Shaft project using SBR technology.
