An international non-profit organization started by C.T. Studd in 1913. WEC now spans the globe. There are over 1500 workers, from 70 different countries working in multicultural teams all over the world. Workers are motivated by their love for Jesus Christ and their desire to improve the lives of people who do not know him. WEC is unique in several ways, including their passion to trust God for everything. Thus all workers are volunteers. No appeals for funds are made, and no fundraising activities are undertaken. Motto: "If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for him." From an International Leadership Statement: " ⌠a passionate, flexible, truly international movement, so devoted to Jesus, that it empowers this generation to impact the least reached peoples of the Earth with the transforming power of the gospel. " Less than 20% of WEC's staff are from North America. Those from developing nations are increasingly finding a home in WEC.
