Coastal Technical Services (CTS) is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business that was founded in 1994, and has established itself as a leader in providing laboratory and engineering services aimed at assisting clients after a disaster event. Our offerings include loss-related cause and origin assessment; restoration and repair analysis; environmental rehabilitation; and technical consulting support from the date of loss through the conclusion of the recovery process. We specialize in smoke/fire damage, water intrusion, construction contamination, and all natural perils.
CTS also operates a full-service testing laboratory for chemical and electronic analyses which includes;
Ionic Residue Testing (Ion Chromatography), Organic Contaminant Testing (FTIR Spectrophotometry), Chemical/ Electronic Forensic Investigation, IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assembly Inspection, Particle Assessment & Measurement, Metallurgical Analysis, Zinc/ Tin Whisker Assessment, Corrosion Treatment/ Assessment/ Mitigation, Microscopy and Photographic Documentation, Quantitative Contaminant Analysis, and Wet Chemical Techniques.
Our expert services are relied upon by many different types of clients including, but not limited to, insurance companies, original equipment manufacturers, industry/ construction companies, and business clients who depend upon various types of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment. Over the years, we have successfully assisted hundreds of clients after the occurrence of a disaster or environmental event, limiting business interruption, maintaining equipment warranties, and restoring livelihoods.
Member of the Institute of Printed Circuits (IPC) and actively participated in committees that developed the IPC-A-610 "Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies" international standard, and the IPC CH-65B " Guidelines for Cleaning of Printed Boards and Assemblies" handbook.
