Opportunity International Development Foundation (OIDF) was established to support the efforts of Opportunity International USA (OI-US) to transform the lives of the world’s poor. It was established specifically in Ghana to further the mission of OI-US’s local Implementing Partner, Opportunity Ghana, and to facilitate, in a more coordinated manner, the development programs of OI-US and other Opportunity Support Partners, and private donors of Opportunity International. OIDF’s core activities include: • Market research and product development (e.g. education finance, housing loans, BDS services etc.) • Partnership development (e.g. Habitat for Humanity, Compassion International) • Management of funding facilities for specific Opportunity Ghana products • Delivery of non financial and transformational services (e.g. Youth Apprenticeship Program, Adult Education Programs, HIV/AIDS Programs, etc.) • Reporting, monitoring, and documentation of best practices • Donor relations (e.g. Insight Trips, Client Reporting etc.)
