Sunrise Energy is a Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Import Terminal located in Saldanha Bay, Western Cape, South Africa. The Terminal is operated in terms of Section 56 of the National Ports Act No. 12 of 2005.
The Terminal infrastructure includes a Multi-buoy Mooring Point (MBM) located in the Port of Saldanha for the berthing of the LPG vessels. The LPG product is then transferred from the ship to the receiving storage via a subsea and overland pipeline, where the product is batched and certified to be compliant with the relevant SANS product specifications before being odourised and dispatched to the market.
The current storage capacity of the terminal is 5,500 MT, with the storage being in the form of pressurised, mounded bullets. A throughput capacity of up to 17,000 MT per month can be achieved.
Sunrise prides itself in the safety of its terminal, as well as the efficiency of its operations, with optimised road tanker turnaround times.
