The objective of the German-Hellenic Chamber of Industry and Commerce (Deutsch-Griechische Industrie- und Handelskammer), founded in 1924 due to the importance of the Hellenic-German commercial transactions, is the tightening and growth of the Hellenic-German enterprising and commercial relations.
The Chamber is the official institution for mediation and contracting of commercial relations, the official representative of German trade exhibitions and provides legal, commercial and economic advice. The chamber has 850 registered members in Greece and Germany which are served from both offices in Athens and Thessaloniki.
Representing over 65 years German fairs in Greece, the Chamber represents officially the following exhibitions: Hamburg, Hanover, Berlin, Cologne, Munich, Stuttgart and Essen, as well it collaborates with other exhibition organizations in Germany.
With its established organizational structure, following standard business and accounting practices of the ’German Chambers of Commerce Abroad’ network, with 142 offices in 90 countries, the Chamber draws a highly efficient accounting department, modern communication structures and organization-wideproject management techniques.
The Chamber provides also the dual system education training, as well as know-how-transfer in the fields of renewable energy and information & communication technologies through EU-projects and B2B platforms.
