Five Forty Aviation Limited, commonly known as 540 is a Kenyan company which was established in 2005 and commenced operations in November 2006. Fly540 Aviation acquired a strategic partnership with the Lonrho Plc conglomerate.
Fly540 recognised there was need for a low cost carrier to meet the demand for value for money travel. So the airline decided on this “no frills” model as this has been successful in other parts of the world as seen with Ryan Air and Easy Jet in Europe and the United States of America respectively. We are the first low cost airline in this region as the only other low cost carriers in Africa are found in South Africa serving domestic routes. Our low cost airline business gives us the ability to offer travel at affordable prices which benefit our customer within Africa.
Our aircrafts are maintained by our very experienced engineers and technicians who have extensive training internationally and locally in addition to having a wide experience and are licensed to practice by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA), Uganda civil aviation (CAA) as well as the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
The company employs a dynamic service oriented team, who are well trained to offer the highest levels of service to our customers. The senior management team comprises of highly qualified Kenyan staff with many years’ experience with both international and domestic airlines, in the region and overseas.
