At Longridge Timber we love all things timber, whether it is being chopped, sawn, planed or simply admired for the quality of the grain! Longridge Timber opened its doors in 2006 and we remain an independent family owned Timber Merchants and pride ourselves on supplying great quality timber and associated products, at fair prices and offering first class customer service, to the building and joinery trades, property developers and ambitious DIY enthusiasts across the North West of England. Having started from modest yet enthusiastic beginnings, Longridge Timber has continued to grow and flourish with the support of its valued customers, employees, suppliers and local community. As well as continuing to operate from its original depot in Longridge, we recently opened our new second depot in the heart of Preston as part of our exciting ongoing plans to improve and develop what we do for our customers. We have also continued to invest in sourcing high quality products which include treated timber, softwood and hardwood timber, sheeting and carcassing materials, decking and flooring, mouldings, beading, doors, stairs and stair parts. To maintain the high quality and reliability which our customers need, we have also made the conscious decision to source our timber overseas. Imported timber is higher quality C24 structural grade, is straighter and less likely to twist because it is slower grown than domestic UK timber. Sadly, we cannot source this grade of timber domestically. However, like you, we remain passionate about our planet and environmental sustainability and we would in no way compromise this. Therefore, even though the timber is imported, it is sourced from sustainable forest schemes and supplied by those that are FSC or PEFC accredited. We also go that extra mile with our personalised service, which includes offering free local delivery from our two depots at Longridge and Preston, as well as providing an on-site cutting service to tailor our products to the specific requirements of our customers. We also have a highly experienced team that are always happy to answer your technical queries, offer suggestions about the best timber for the job and discuss bespoke or specialist requirements.
