BWSC takes a leading role in the development of Independent Power Producer (IPP) projects. Our product range also includes transmission lines, distribution systems and generation services, and BWSC has entered into long-term Technical Support Agreements (TSA) as well as operation and maintenance agreements covering a total accumulated plant capacity in excess of 1,800 MW.
BWSC originated from the stationary engine division of Burmeister & Wain (B&W), which has built and installed diesel engines for power plants since 1904. BWSC was established as a separate specialist company in 1980 and was acquired by Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. in 1990.
