Who We Are:
Arizona Kids THINK Too is a nonprofit organization serving disadvantaged youth and their families in the greater Phoenix area. In collaboration with schools, local businesses, and the ongoing support of Valley of the Sun United Way, we provide both educational and enrichment programming through academic tutoring, family education nights, early literacy interventions, camping opportunities, leadership program BOLT (Building Our Leaders Together) and our STEM based leadership program BOLTS (Building Our Leaders Through Science).
Who We Serve:
A majority of the youth we serve attend Title I schools with limited after-school programming. More than 80% of our students come from ethnic, minority backgrounds and many are classified as English Language Learners. Due to the challenges present in their underfunded schools and surrounding communities, our students have limited opportunities in their environment to acquire personal competencies that would enable them to achieve success in the classroom and beyond.
Arizona Kids THINK Too strives to narrow the “achievement gap” by providing quality programs designed specifically to affect change in personal, social, academic, and community spheres. Our goal is to not only assist in academic endeavors, but to build resiliency skills necessary for our youth to increase their self-esteem, overcome obstacles, and have the opportunity to lead fulfilling, productive lives.
