Since 1996, we’ve been helping people replace their kitchen doors. Kitchen Door Workshop started life as a small kitchen door-fitting service in Hailsham, East Sussex, at a time when the internet was in its infancy and if you wanted to refresh your kitchen, you were far more likely to rip the whole thing out and start again from scratch. Nevertheless, the business grew and grew.
When the financial crisis hit in 2007, people started looking for more affordable, more eco-friendly ways to update their homes – and crucially, they were prepared to do the work themselves. The Kitchen Door Workshop website was launched, offering a wide range of door styles and colours, as well as ‘how-to’ videos and DIY help. We want to make replacing your kitchen doors as easy as it can possibly be. From measuring your units to adjusting door hinges, we’re here to help, every step of the way.
In 2013, we designed and launched Trends and Visions, our own collections of British-made doors, which further boosted our growth as a business. And so in 2015, we moved to a new showroom and offices in Uckfield. Since then, we’ve grown even more, and we’ve got a number of exciting plans for 2024 and beyond.
From the very beginning, we’ve supported a number of charitable causes, including Plan International, and in the spirit of ‘giving something back’, our staff all receive an additional 5 days’ annual leave to be used volunteering in the community.
