Nanaimo Airport is a growing regional airport located midway between Nanaimo and Ladysmith on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Thanks to the completion of the runway expansion, The Nanaimo Airport has seen passenger numbers climb over 90% since 2008. Nanaimo Airport Commission is anticipating another record year in 2016 with passenger numbers expected to be over 340,000. With our instrument landing technology we have achieved over 98% weather reliability. The airport is serviced by three carriers: Air Canada, WestJet and Island Express. This modern airport offers 13 daily flights between Nanaimo and Vancouver and the lower mainland, as well as three non-stop flights between Nanaimo and Calgary, and one daily non-stop flight to Victoria. Airport shuttles and taxis connect the city with the airport and a number of rental car kiosks are conveniently located at YCD.
