Founded in 1879, and located in the London Courthouse, the Middlesex Law Association is a not-for-profit organization providing services to lawyers in Middlesex County. The MLA provides high-quality and affordable continuing legal education programs accredited by the LSO for CPD requirements. The MLA also hosts conferences, social events, and collaborative legal ceremonies/receptions which provide our members many opportunities to network with each other and our judiciary.
The centerpiece of the Association is its law library, which serves over 900 members and is one of the finest County Law Libraries in Ontario, both in terms of premises and collection size. The library is administered by an elected Board of Trustees and owes its success to continued support from both current and honourary members. The library's primary patrons are Class L1 and L2 LSO members, the judiciary, and courthouse staff. The Mayer Lerner Lounge is accessible through the library and offers lounge seating plus boardroom facilities. Members can reserve the lounge by completing an application form available from the librarians.
