IBIDEN Hungary Ltd. was established in the industrial park of Dunavarsány, 25 kilometers south of Budapest in 2004, as the second European DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) producing center of the Japanese IBIDEN Group. Our filters, made from ceramic raw materials are installed to diesel vehicles for filtering out more than 99% of the emitted particles that are harmful to the environment. Diesel particulate filters are used worldwide by car manufacturers. At present we operate four factories and one Technical Center at our site. Currently, there are over 1,700 employees working for the plant. We have continuous operation in 24 hours a day, seven days a week . IBIDEN Hungary Ltd. produces around 2.4 million DPFs per year, made of ceramic raw materials, which are imported from Japan. That is some 200,000 Diesel Particulate Filters a month.
