FB Consulting specializes in helping business to understand and use Facebook effectively and increasing short and long-term profitability. The company was founded in 2009 by Robert Castellucci, Gainesville entrepreneur and founder of RoomBug, a Facebook application for roommate matching that has been adopted at universities across the country including The University of Florida and Emory University. In 2009, Robert was named as one of the top 25 entrepreneurs under 40 by the NorthCentral Florida Business Report, pre-empting Facebook’s naming of RoomBug as one of the top 50 applications on Facebook for the fbFund.
Facebook was founded in February of 2004 and Robert had an account by September of 2004, giving him over 5 years of experience in leveraging Facebook for business applications. He has consulted with businesses throughout the nation on Facebook and other social media topics, been a guest lecturer at The University of Florida for the past 3 years, where he also received his Masters degree in Entrepreneurship.
Beyond his involvement in social media, Robert is an Associate at Synogen, a seed-stage venture capital firm based in Gainesville, FL. At Synogen, Robert consults with numerous Web 2.0 and medical device companies including Fracture, RegisterPatient, Xhale and Optima Neuroscience among others.
