In 2018, we met with HSBC France, who were at the time part of a remediation plan following a sanction issued by OFAC, and under the obligation to review the compliance processes of their trade finance activity. Semsoft co-developed a trade risk intelligence software solution named Lestr, alongside HSBC France. We found the subject so fascinating and ethical that we decided to make it our main focus to tackle criminal activity performed under the guise of international trade.
