BioFishency Ltd. develops, manufactures and markets disruptive electro-chemical and biological aquaculture water treatment solutions for Recirculated Aquaculture Systems (RAS). BioFishency offers a full conceptual replacement for traditional RAS systems, to overcome the existing challenges of RAS, by delivering fully-controlled water treatment solutions. Based on Big Data analysis and independent of water temperature, the company’s patented technologies enable the production of healthier seafood products, while lowering the carbon footprint, yielding cost and resource savings for its customers around the globe. We have been working on aquaculture projects around the world for nearly 20 years. Our extensive experience in growing fish and in aquaculture led us to understand the market’s needs, challenges, and potential. During our long years in the field of aquaculture in Israel and around the world, we came to the conclusion that technology was the key to leveraging the potential growth of aquaculture production and identified what we term as a “technology gap”. On the one hand, the extensive and intensive aquaculture methods which produce relatively low yields, use water and land resources inefficiently, and have had almost no technological innovation during the past decades. On the other hand, the RAS (Recirculating Aquaculture System) growing method which gives very high yields and uses small land and water resources due to very advanced, sophisticated but expensive technology. For most of the aquaculture in the world which occurs in developing countries, the expensive RAS growing method is irrelevant. Extensive and intensive aquaculture need new technological solutions to make fish farmers more profitable and productive.
