Skål is a worldwide organization of travel industry professionals promoting global tourism through friendship and peace. It is the only international group uniting all branches of the travel and tourism industry. Its members, the industry's top executives and managers, meet at local, national, regional and international levels to discuss and pursue topics of common interest. Founded in Paris in 1932, Skål International today has over 15,000 members in more than 400 Clubs throughout 90 nations. Most activities occur at the local levels, moving up through National Committees, under the umbrella of Skål International, its General Secretariat being located in Torremolinos, Spain.
