Official Destination Marketing Organisation for the city of Derry~Londonderry, N.Ireland.The first of its kind in Ireland(public/private partnership), Visit Derry promotes the city and its hinterland as a leisure and business conference destination as well as providing a complete package of visitor services. Visit Derry is a dynamic membership organisation supported by the private sector and Derry City and Strabane District Council. It is the cornerstone of future tourist growth for the region and markets the city energetically at home and abroad in partnership with Tourism NI and Tourism Ireland. Among its primary aims is to inspire visitors and tour companies to choose the destination on their visit to Ireland and put together tour and travel packages to spark imagination and delight. From weekend breaks to regional tours, Visit Derry provides a one-stop resource to the travel trade. Whether it's information on events, golf courses, shopping, visitor attractions, accommodation contacts and suggested itineraries, Visit Derry delivers. Visit Derry's Mission statement is: “To attract more visitors to the destination and ensure that they enjoy an experience that is legendary”. We will do this by promoting the historic walled city as a hub for visiting the destination and making sure that those who visit can experience the cultural vibrancy of our urban areas and tranquillity of our natural hinterland. Our plan is to facilitate the development and marketing of a destination experience that promises to surpass previous expectations, as we add a whole new dimension to our offering. If our plan is successful then Visit Derry, the Council and our other partners, will have achieved the following by the end of 2019:- • Attracting over 1,000,000 visitors each year, spending £100m on their stay in the city region • Creating and sustaining an estimated 5,000 jobs directly or indirectly from tourism
