Traditional and innovative university in the heart of Karlsruhe. The Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences offers programs in engineering, computer science, business, and media disciplines. The entire range of study programs is assigned to six faculties: Architecture and Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering & Information Technology, Computer Science & Business Information Systems, Information Management & Media, Mechanical Engineering & Mechatronics, as well as Management Science &. Engineering. In addition to teaching, research plays a significant role, being a core competence and a profile-forming element for the university. Scientific further education also holds an important position, fulfilling the university's legal mandate. The campus is centrally located within walking distance to the city center, on the edge of the Hardtwald. The expansion of the university and the expansion of the study programs in recent years have necessitated the use of other external locations. Currently, there are nearby branches for the study operations on Amalienstraße and Hoffstraße, and individual institutes are also located on Daimlerstraße and Hertzstraße. In Bruchsal, on the grounds of the former International University, the Karlsruhe University, in collaboration with SEW-Eurodrive, operates a research campus for electromobility, the Institute for Energy-Efficient Mobility (IEEM).
