Light Up The World (LUTW) is a Canadian non-profit organization focused on the principle that access to energy changes lives. LUTW implements projects that provide sustainable energy solutions to remote communities without access to the power grid. Since 1997, LUTW has been helping people transition away from unhealthy fuels to solar power in 54 countries - working to make energy and lighting in vulnerable communities as inexpensive and sustainable as possible. Access to renewable energy is transformational - it creates a healthy and safe home environment, enhances opportunities for education and contributes to economic development by increasing disposable income and encouraging entrepreneurship. With a focus on training and developing the capacity of local service providers, LUTW builds partnerships so that communities are empowered to move towards a more sustainable future.
