YGA is a non-governmental, non-profit organization founded in Turkey.
It cultivates a double-winged youth to make us hopeful for the future of the world. These young individuals improve their two wings - conscience and competency - while developing international ventures that provide social benefits. The technology-based social innovations YGA students developed together so far include:
-WeWALK, world’s smartest cane for the visually impaired
-Twin Science Kits, sharing the delight of knowing science with over 300.000 children
-Piri, preserves world heritage and transforms trips into memorable experiences
-HydroSolar, Turkey’s first floating solar energy system
-PoiLabs, providing indoor navigation and public transportation guidance to visually impaired people
-UpSchool, Creates equal opportunities for young women to accelerate their tech careers
YGA has been deemed worthy of over ten global awards in innovation and technology fields as of now:
• WeWALK is selected as "the Startup of the Year" by Amazon.
• WeWALK is selected as one of the Best Innovations of 2019 by TIME Magazine.
• WeWALK, was awarded Gold Prize at Edison Awards, where world-famous Fortune 500 companies compete.
• United Nations presented My Dream Companion and WeWALK projects as the best examples of their kind to the delegates of 150 countries.
• Forbes magazine selected YGA graduates “Innovation Leader of the Year Under 30” twice.
• Two YGA graduates were awarded “Pioneering Innovator of the Year” by MIT Innovators Under 35.
• Twin is awarded at BETT in the category of Special Education Needs Solution with the robotic and coding kits specially designed for visually impaired kids.
