Founded in 1898, Standard de Liège is a major football club of the Belgian league. After several European competition participations, 10 championships and 8 Belgian Cup titles, Standard de Liège is now one of the most famous clubs in Belgium.
From Roger Claessen to Axel Witsel as well as Eric Gerets, great players have been part of the history of the club.
The first team, known as “les Rouches”, plays its matches at the Maurice Dufrasne Stadium in front of more than 25.000 amazing supporters.
The development of young talents is one of the main goals of the club. The SL16 Football Campus is considered as one of the best youth centres in Belgium. Famous clubs such as Manchester City, Bayern Munchen or Atletico Madrid recruit young players from our academy.
There is another important team in the club: Standard Femina, the women section. In 2016, they won the Belgian championship for the 6th time in a row, their 7th title in only 8 years.
