The YWCA has been a champion for women and their families in High Point, changing lives since 1920. The organization has provided opportunities to women and girls to enable them to develop strong leadership skills and become strong, contributing members of our communities, and in turn, create a more equitable world and future for us all.
The YWCA of High Point provides a safety net to women and children, unlike any other organization in High Point. It focuses on meeting the needs of families and maintaining strong connections with other organizations in the community, referring clients in need of those services and avoiding duplication of program efforts.
The six core program areas for the YWCA are:
• Aquatics and Wellness
• Adolescent Parenting
• Social Justice
• Studio Art
• Women’s Resource Center
• Youth Services
