Share-Net Bangladesh is a knowledge platform on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights. This platform was established in 2014 and is being hosted by Red Orange Media and Communications.
Share-Net Bangladesh brings together the dynamic community of practice and experts in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights. The community consists of SRHR practitioners, activists, policy makers, social and medical researchers, development practitioners, government officials, legal experts, students, and members of vulnerable and underserved groups. Sharing and translating knowledge is the main goal of the platform.
Share-Net Bangladesh has created a common space for the communities of practice to be engaged in an active network and have interactive communication to create sustainable SRHR practice in Bangladesh. It also encourages the members; especially the policy makers and the practitioners to apply the best practice, learned lessons and other insights. To ensure this, Share-Net Bangladesh arranges resource group meetings with the members based on different topics aligned with country’s national policy.
Knowledge sharing, knowledge translation, knowledge promotion and network building are the core priorities of Share-Net Bangladesh. Share-Net Bangladesh has been sharing news, featured articles, interviews, action and academic research, job and funding opportunities, tools, events and blogs though the online platform to its members. These massive streams of knowledge are also being disseminated through monthly and yearly e-Newsletter. The knowledge has successfully been shared with more than 672 members.
Share-Net Bangladesh has been doing online advocacy and awareness campaigns on different SRHR issues and publishing interactive and informative interviews, features, tools, videos, videos, infographics, banners, fact-sheets and posters on the website and sharing those on the social media platform to create awareness among general audience.
